Motivational Healthcare Speaker

I’ve started with the motivational healthcare speaker for two reasons. Firstly, healthcare is facing a time of upheaval, and so healthcare professionals are fearful of what the future might bring. A motivational shot in the arm is just what the doctor ordered…even for the doctors!

The other reason I’ve started with healthcare is that 18% of the population work in the healthcare field, and so there is a large demand for motivational speakers who have expertise in this area. Motivational healthcare speakers often have a background in medicine, they are former physicians, nurses or hospital administrators who discovered a passion for professional speaking.

Motivational Survivor

Some types of audiences (especially sales groups) seem to really go for this style of speaker. A survivor is usually somebody who has conquered a mammoth task of some type or survived a life threatening adventure or sickness. These people are by and large incredibly motivational and help people place their own (generally rather trivial) frustrations into focus.

Team Motivational Speaker

Good motivational speakers who can inspire a team are generally in huge demand. A top-notch inspirational speaker can assist an organization conquer some extraordinarily challenging difficulties. For example, a company merger might be lucrative but can be awfully tough on the individuals doing the day-to-day work.  Team building speakers and presentations can be really beneficial in getting these people functioning together in harmony.

Leadership Motivational Speakers

Motivational speakers on leadership awing on and out of fashion. Not surprisingly, they are popular at present (what with all the questionable “C-suite” activities that have recently come to light). Every company, regardless of industry, has the team at the top attempting to guide those below. Teaching these senior executives motivational skills can greatly improve the effectiveness of their teams. 

Motivational Cheerleader

It’s worth noting that the old fashioned “cheerleader” motivational speakers have fallen somewhat out of favor. Fairly or unfairly, the perception is that they are all cliche and no substance. Modern day event planners want speakers who will enlighten their staff, help them think more imaginatively and, in general, moving their organization onward towards its higher level objectives. Think “motivation with a message”.

In the past, there has been a tendency for meeting planners to use public figures for their celebrity value. And industry experts and content speakers were generally hired for the education-centered meetings. That said, there’s been a recent tendency to provide a greater diversity of speakers (motivational and otherwise) at a particular event. By looking at the big picture, planners are putting together conferences that are more lively (and yet still provide the necessary education – and ongoing education points).
